Digital Marketing Manager

Job Description

In this new role for the business, you will have the freedom to develop and shape the business’ digital marketing offering, with access to over 50 regular clients. You will be responsible for creating, writing, delivering and optimising content for the agency’s clients and the agency itself across all digital channels, working closely with the creative team, digital team and Head of Marketing.

The Digital Marketing Manager reports to the Head of Marketing.

Your Responsibilities

  • Conduct market research and assist the Head of Marketing in creating and delivering effective digital marketing strategies and campaigns
  • Co-ordinate with the Head of Marketing to schedule all digital marketing activities
  • Create, monitor and optimise engaging and SEO friendly content for the agency’s website, social media pages and for press releases
  • Implement the formulation, planning and execution of digital marketing campaigns including web, SEO/SEM, display, PPC, email and social media channels for both clients and epls
  • Plan and monitor social media activity for clients and epls to build a strong online presence
  • Conduct social media audits to ensure best practice
  • Launch and manage paid and organic online advertising campaigns for clients through Google AdWords, Facebook, LinkedIn and other social media platforms. An understanding of how to optimise campaign targeting and configuration to achieve best ROI
  • Plan and manage PPC/Display campaigns for clients
  • Produce strategy for, implement and manage SEO campaigns including keyword research, backlink building, and on-site SEO
  • Monitor competitor activity and recommend activity to outperform competitors on SEO and CRO
  • Prepare email campaigns, manage distribution and report on results
  • Provide creative ideas for content marketing and update website
  • Draft marketing emails and website content
  • Measure and report on performance of digital marketing efforts using a variety of Web analytics tools (Google Analytics, MS Clarity, WebTrends etc.) to develop optimisation plans
  • Conduct research on competitors, latest market trends, emerging digital tools and platforms, new technologies and keywords to ensure currency of campaigns and share insights with the team
  • Perform administrative tasks such as updating databases and spreadsheets
  • Prepare and conduct surveys/questionnaires to gather client feedback
  • Ensure proper portrayal of the brand’s image and tone
  • Attend marketing events

Qualifications and Experience

  • 5+ years’ experience in Digital Marketing
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Digital Marketing or equivalent
  • Experience executing paid social media and digital advertising campaigns
  • Excellent knowledge of marketing techniques and tools like Google Analytics and WebTrends
  • Familiarity with CMS, specifically WordPress
  • Good knowledge of SEO, SEM and email marketing tools
  • Full understanding of all social media platforms
  • Knowledge of email marketing software like MailChimp, HubSpot and ActiveCampaign
  • Familiarity with basic editing software like CorelDraw/VideoStudio to create brochures and newsletters and Vimeo for video creation and hosting
  • Familiarity with website optimisation tools like Hotjar, SimilarWeb and Screaming Frog
  • Up to date with current trends and developments in digital marketing
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Good time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated and energetic self-starter
  • Good attention to detail
  • Team player as well as having the ability to work independently
